And once in a while a moment will happen that lives in our memories long after we have witnessed it. And once in a great while we are blessed to capture one of these defining moments on video.<br />
<br />
Janna has been baking bread once or twice a week lately. Ammon has begun to participate in making bread and is adorable as he pats the bread and says "Done!" when it is in the pans and ready to be put in the oven. Watch the video below and notice his patting, his exclamation of "Done!" and how he heads across the counter to get to the other loaves. My favorite part is the end. Priceless.<br />

Some, however, seem to endure. We have a magical wizard hat that has been around a long time and is a favorite item amongst our kids. Although it actually has a "magical" look about it, the true magic is that we've had it for a long time without it getting worn out, permanently misplaced, left somewhere, or irreparably spilled upon.</div><div>The kids love the hat. They play with it, argue over who gets to wear it, chase each other around with it and then it gets stuffed somewhere and we won't see it for awhile. But, unfailingly, it reappears and we go through the cycle again.<div>Now, the hat is... well, a hat. But it has served as many other things throughout the course of our children's imaginative games. The other day we found ourselves with a few minutes to spare so we decided to devise a game with the hat to share with our blog fans (assuming such persons exist). The following is called "Using a Wizard Hat to Reenact Lost Scenes From Mega Hit Movies". Keep in mind these scenes were lost, so you probably were not aware they existed.</div></div><div><br /></div><div>Movie: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets</div><div>Scene: Harry finds a magical wizard hat that gives him power to vanquish Voldemort with nothing but his wand and a crusty glare. The Lion, now freed from fear, runs through the forest in record time, to the witch's castle (because the witch herself had funded her terrorizing operations as an oil magnate). So this week we are going to try our best to document in the blog how it goes at home while they are away. So far they have been gone a total of 24 hours. We miss them already.</div><div>I worked yesterday so Taylor and Andrew had free reign. I was at work about an hour and a half when they came in to visit me (I work a half mile from home). We chatted about how things were going and they bought soda out of the vending machine. I could tell they were already relishing their freedom. They only stayed a few minutes then they were off. When I got home for lunch they had straightened the living room and were practicing the piano. Janna would be proud.</div><div>The afternoon went much the same and included the boys taking a little while to write reports. Taylor did a report on Florida snakes and Andrew on Florida birds, they chose the topics (I can't wait for tomorrow's reports, sea turtles and beavers). Then they watched their favorite show, Merlin. Here's what I saw when I got home:</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIxF40HnjeToelb2fP2MLSGJ1IiqSoiB9Rus4eL6g8JNo6HpfA3_UcdWU0pURVshr0TGA1Z7l4p0-1iKfATtREFHVCWXrh3DHMenaaJ_XE9kwCVdiHOzI_EE300cJPMe8PBmTE1NRf6VI/s1600/DSCN0154.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIxF40HnjeToelb2fP2MLSGJ1IiqSoiB9Rus4eL6g8JNo6HpfA3_UcdWU0pURVshr0TGA1Z7l4p0-1iKfATtREFHVCWXrh3DHMenaaJ_XE9kwCVdiHOzI_EE300cJPMe8PBmTE1NRf6VI/s320/DSCN0154.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620624287520318626" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /></a></div><div>The Appel's (senior missionary couple) then brought us dinner, it was fabulous!!!!</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHipMDYYTxkVxwSxW2aF-Bt9H_bw9mxiSk_if32u1BI1guCeOVFBmpxF45FvACtavmfrm6N-7qKufJ5kg_ZmiTXJpgJX3yvWTzJPGzS6Vgc27DKJA_Ad8QgtQ0epzssLfDjVxTwFN-rdg/s1600/DSCN0155.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHipMDYYTxkVxwSxW2aF-Bt9H_bw9mxiSk_if32u1BI1guCeOVFBmpxF45FvACtavmfrm6N-7qKufJ5kg_ZmiTXJpgJX3yvWTzJPGzS6Vgc27DKJA_Ad8QgtQ0epzssLfDjVxTwFN-rdg/s320/DSCN0155.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5620625239682267890" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>For Family Night the boys and talked about working hard so we could spend more time during the week playing. There have been a lot of animals moving to find water. On my way to my early Sunday meetings last week I came across the fellow pictured below. He/she (not sure) had lost a battle with a car (not confirming nor denying that it was my car). Recognize it? It is a coral snake. I have wanted to see one since I moved here, but they are rarely spotted. Coral snakes "possess one of the most poisonous venoms of any North American snake." Remember the old saying? Red on black, friend of Jack. Red on yellow, kill a fellow. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSG_TPjeCwxHQAH_cj23rcNwCgA6hJwZUtYm4kgutvwMtCMvpnEyDjj5tuklQ_VH9AzIj1vMA2SIIVfyTosfkOIZmMUWMnzWqE_CeFhUB1jD5XuEqYrNqc02lAPgYTFIiB0r40Ob0pwG4/s1600/DSCN0152.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSG_TPjeCwxHQAH_cj23rcNwCgA6hJwZUtYm4kgutvwMtCMvpnEyDjj5tuklQ_VH9AzIj1vMA2SIIVfyTosfkOIZmMUWMnzWqE_CeFhUB1jD5XuEqYrNqc02lAPgYTFIiB0r40Ob0pwG4/s320/DSCN0152.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5619998340116570002" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /></a></div><div>I was told that several years ago a youth leader was out visiting the ranch with his youth group and they found one. We split it up into three parts and created family teams to teach each part. Janna and Abby get the part about sin and faith, Taylor and Andrew get repentance, and Dad and Caden get baptism and confirmation. We found the clip below on youtube (both Janna and I remember it from seminary). We both love it...<div><iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9VTMWVpzx4M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-50044303157966405262011-02-08T17:43:00.000-08:002011-02-08T18:01:30.669-08:00Where I Work......I love where I work. It is a beautiful ranch in central Florida. I love to show it to family and friends who visit (yes, consider that an invitation). Recently the ranch was the Region II winner of the Environmental Stewardship award. Below is the video clip that was made showing the ranch and describing some of the efforts the ranch has made with regards to the environment....I love it...<div><br /></div><div><iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Mu1_ifUIt6g" frameborder="0"></iframe></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-83109623725075537232011-01-31T16:39:00.000-08:002011-02-08T18:02:05.827-08:00Happenings and Such....<div><br /></div>The washer is fixed, but not before Scott went to Oklahoma. I'll spare the embarrassing details. So, on to new disasters.....<div>We got our back brakes switched today....and rotors.....and repair to the A/C system. Andrew had an eye doctor appt and he sees fine. Taylor had a podiatrist appt and he has flat feet (I paid for that diagnosis?!) Lucas visited again yesterday. It is fun to have him visit. As one of their activities they were given 100 marshmallows and toothpicks. Both Andrew's teacher and I were astounded by what he made. None of the other creations could even compare. Maybe he will be an architect when he grows up.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWZJ8wDU-ujgeP8ONGjX-2yIe2qNBf1AR6pbGwBSuiOCkavyTfPc34qbMoGF6xl4BhoV0X__tbHlZe-7aQanH5vUlAFq2Dj7AzDTjK-mwcR6TUvFcxTDKQA1XMCmvkbRBuZOPhzRZyNCk/s1600-h/DSCF4744.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWZJ8wDU-ujgeP8ONGjX-2yIe2qNBf1AR6pbGwBSuiOCkavyTfPc34qbMoGF6xl4BhoV0X__tbHlZe-7aQanH5vUlAFq2Dj7AzDTjK-mwcR6TUvFcxTDKQA1XMCmvkbRBuZOPhzRZyNCk/s320/DSCF4744.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433700270173585266" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucksN8KhPyWba-jZ36UaZvUAoN6sirzSirdkLyMH6WT2kV4Z72IyEyMDoizvhyphenhyphen9_n-IkvRHI-yL-FXcdZzpYZw5FRfJNanTrnKgiImqhUPpgR4P_b3_IiyW3TE_bgDqo3T9t-AJ6_CSQ/s1600-h/DSCF4750.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiucksN8KhPyWba-jZ36UaZvUAoN6sirzSirdkLyMH6WT2kV4Z72IyEyMDoizvhyphenhyphen9_n-IkvRHI-yL-FXcdZzpYZw5FRfJNanTrnKgiImqhUPpgR4P_b3_IiyW3TE_bgDqo3T9t-AJ6_CSQ/s320/DSCF4750.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433700567742450002" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqzadtOacXxkua-x9XWZbp_iPeCc_SKVbgItaaXyIoW77f4bPkUd2CJfQJt60iI0rvI3gzivM9fHt0ZOwPSEIB_vrlASFtiWoNrLW099plT6CC1gC4DPB5qEB5C6zE9Jo-BJT7nMc4Do/s1600-h/DSCF4754.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqzadtOacXxkua-x9XWZbp_iPeCc_SKVbgItaaXyIoW77f4bPkUd2CJfQJt60iI0rvI3gzivM9fHt0ZOwPSEIB_vrlASFtiWoNrLW099plT6CC1gC4DPB5qEB5C6zE9Jo-BJT7nMc4Do/s320/DSCF4754.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433700835322160866" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">Andrew showing Abby his creation.</div>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-85883290745238378862010-02-02T08:54:00.000-08:002010-02-02T09:58:13.607-08:00Climbing the wallsMost often parents claim that their children drive them crazy or make them climb the walls. The 11 hour drive there went smoothly and we enjoyed visiting with many of our "old" friends while our Dad helped with year-end stuff. We got so caught up with visiting that we forgot to take as many pics as we had planned. Nebraska and our friends there will always hold a special place in our hearts!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqh6BfmYHGOYg2sbsWaDgWBFMZ-DRLMsrWrXdk1UE6fheyoycVOWwPTVT7C-XGmNI2JxDmCdgPkzVDeV4NDuRRjr-z6v5HKxhbtv4xI29f1ZMKLGoAK10ebhm10B6zUo-nptHqh0sm84o/s1600-h/DSCF4643.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqh6BfmYHGOYg2sbsWaDgWBFMZ-DRLMsrWrXdk1UE6fheyoycVOWwPTVT7C-XGmNI2JxDmCdgPkzVDeV4NDuRRjr-z6v5HKxhbtv4xI29f1ZMKLGoAK10ebhm10B6zUo-nptHqh0sm84o/s320/DSCF4643.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433674167505010754" /></a><br />We were ready for church early so we decided to take some pics. He picks children who are kind, good examples, excellent students and friends, children who make the school a better place to be. We are proud to report that <span style="font-style:italic;">1st quarter</span> <span style="font-weight:bold;">Andrew</span> was awarded the Principle pick for 1st grade and that <span style="font-style:italic;">2nd quarter</span> <span style="font-weight:bold;">Taylor</span> was awarded the Principle pick for the 3rd grade. I have the flu. I really don't mind throwing up (I've done it enough to like it I guess) and usually it makes me feel better. Coughing is annoying but tolerable. I don't like being tired, but sometimes a good couple days rest gives me time to recharge mentally. What I truly don't like is headaches. I get them so rarely, but when they come I get annoyed quickly. And they make all the other tolerable things become intolerable, because the other things aggravate the headache. For example a cough coupled with headache causes shooting pains through the cranium...miserable.<br /><br />It's 2:30 am, I can't sleep, so I do the most logical thing to do when you're sick with a headache and can't sleep: I watch the State of the Union Address (Hey, I'm already sick right?). Anyway, it gets over and I start watching the GOP response. Much less entertaining, so I flip the DVR to the American Idol episode I missed earlier in the evening. Dallas, nice. Aha, Neil Patrick Harris is the guest judge, bring back the controversy. For the record I can't stand Neil Patrick Harris. <br />24 minutes into the episode they start showing a segment with sad music and images of several people walking out of the judges room crying. Suddenly, I recognize the girl walking out of the room crying. Could it be!?! REWIND! Sad music, crying, walking out...yes, yes, it is her! JENNY! We absolutely love Jenny! This is special for me because Jenny would come over to our house when we lived in Utah and I'd make her sing for me. My favorite was when she'd sing Mandy Moore. It was angelic. I was so excited, I forgot about being sick for a short while. Jenny was on national TV! A short while later Janna must have realized I was not in bed and came to find me. I had to show her what I had found! She was excited too. That was so fun to see! We agreed that Jenny was our American Idol.<br />The lesson to be learned: ego maniacs with morals on loan from the devil himself are unable to recognize anything truly divine.ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-1882251121674041342010-01-26T18:29:00.000-08:002010-02-02T09:42:07.155-08:00Disasters Happen in PairsSo Abby has been potty training. And I must admit she is doing fabulous! In the past week she has never had more than one accident per day (ok, technically she did have two last Thursday but none on Friday so it averages) and has had a few days with no accidents. Bless her little heart there is hope. And not a minute too soon as her mother had promised (after the last failed attempt a couple months ago) to never ever make another attempt at potty training Abby...because it was a lost cause that would never come to pass and thus never to be attempted again so long as she lives cause it was a waste of time, effort and laundry soap (or something to that effect, you get the idea). Anyway, so today was (emphasis on <span style="font-weight:bold;">was</span>) a good day through the 18th hour. No potty accidents, dinner dishes were cleared, dishwasher started, kids in the tub, and the DJ on the country radio station was on a roll. Too good to be true, I should have seen it coming...<br />It was at this moment that Abby chose to ruin her perfect day in a rather....well.... big way. Screams from the bathroom. At that same precise moment I was straightening things in the kitchen and made an unwise choice. My hands were full, but one more thing lay on the counter....I could get it if I shifted the things in my arms and used my last two fingers, now freed from burden, to grab it. It was a marble paper towel holder. In hindsight, I really should have guessed that the two fingers I chose would not be adequate to bear the weight of a marble paper towel holder. It fell....and of course I, being one with above average reflexes, contorted my hips swiftly to knock the falling towel holder off its trajectory so it would scoot across the floor instead of smashing straight into it. Nice, except the oven was in the way. Glass exploded everywhere. I stared, looking at the gaping hole in the oven not recognizing it as MY oven. Was I dreaming? I went to get the shopvac. My wife came in and after initial shock made light of the situation. I cleaned up the kitchen disaster. My wife handled the bathroom disaster. I love my wife. Stay tuned for pics (of the kitchen disaster).<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1zwUYHqJFVEbj-jMiM5XsdWU0jDW0KG2MC7AefmyAxn1JlyIBPfv9dcZaPqdYwQyBQMmdvN7l2zXFACSGh9z-tFkAC-46LSutYBmOGtrMtLnGhy__9P_rSFl-8SkVhkgJJQicroGojGE/s1600-h/Stove+Carnage+1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1zwUYHqJFVEbj-jMiM5XsdWU0jDW0KG2MC7AefmyAxn1JlyIBPfv9dcZaPqdYwQyBQMmdvN7l2zXFACSGh9z-tFkAC-46LSutYBmOGtrMtLnGhy__9P_rSFl-8SkVhkgJJQicroGojGE/s320/Stove+Carnage+1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433701551757959378" /></a><br />The carnage I found when I came to check on the bread.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQnEP9RbxUCUMngkHicm7z6MHCDhRsc0IZQo2zn69OrPoiZIwVQmyzoEzTjgy2YgSaKbFILdYZGSjstzrDOTpapqB0BgFgNJAD95DH0NnQTcfttf2qX8Uxleq2ntvz03DXIoWIufwxCRY/s1600-h/Stove+Carnage+Front.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQnEP9RbxUCUMngkHicm7z6MHCDhRsc0IZQo2zn69OrPoiZIwVQmyzoEzTjgy2YgSaKbFILdYZGSjstzrDOTpapqB0BgFgNJAD95DH0NnQTcfttf2qX8Uxleq2ntvz03DXIoWIufwxCRY/s320/Stove+Carnage+Front.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433701820017481218" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw36xG7rkejW76zAA4U7vfFcUCdJ18wTc4f2QhIheYwqFTIz6D_PWp71jqVW13Gk1H-5UYF49WDyst1ZFUeBPjI2eYc-xr7k9FrkVL8KuTeEMFdmlleyUVme3LIznqBklZYjwkA5qpJUM/s1600-h/Stove+Assasin.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw36xG7rkejW76zAA4U7vfFcUCdJ18wTc4f2QhIheYwqFTIz6D_PWp71jqVW13Gk1H-5UYF49WDyst1ZFUeBPjI2eYc-xr7k9FrkVL8KuTeEMFdmlleyUVme3LIznqBklZYjwkA5qpJUM/s320/Stove+Assasin.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433702196919484322" /></a><br />It was <span style="font-weight:bold;">Scott<span style="font-style:italic;"></span></span> in the <span style="font-style:italic;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Kitchen</span><span style="font-weight:bold;"></span></span> with the <span style="font-style:italic;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Paper towel holder</span>.<span style="font-weight:bold;"></span></span>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-77946223930667709272010-01-07T18:53:00.000-08:002010-01-07T19:25:10.278-08:00<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYptr1a1qVJoPoIm-_bO4rELiz5lQ-rCOgnLdQTL4Ad1FysjFXcrf6qYwq-XIRBz5StHBb7Djd9nG7c2Kgz8nWuVx-6ztHqv45O7-LBZMzkSz6w6I5NGVzWUdGrCLVHAz13qNQfPHG2Kc/s1600-h/Downloads.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYptr1a1qVJoPoIm-_bO4rELiz5lQ-rCOgnLdQTL4Ad1FysjFXcrf6qYwq-XIRBz5StHBb7Djd9nG7c2Kgz8nWuVx-6ztHqv45O7-LBZMzkSz6w6I5NGVzWUdGrCLVHAz13qNQfPHG2Kc/s400/Downloads.jpg" /></a><br />

According to Janna, Abby got into a fight with a shopping cart earlier in the day and...well.....the shopping cart didn't lose. Later, right after Janna made our bed, Abby was jumping on it and fell and hit her chin on our headboard resulting in an ugly scratch on her chin. Of course that night was our ward Christmas Party and, although we explained what really happened, I'm pretty sure there were a few who left with suspicions about our parenting methods. Anyway, here are some pics of our black eyed pea (the angle didn't get any of the chin damage).</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7qWAQzuwD7CsPBk5PCBZYh9OZmI92iPKsm4DHHMVwk3E68rREv19HMwLJ0k3PiMOVE8OAexitkKT1h4jV7jHpbnYbxqBWlMMFBMtRZpvNCTtjd3WNFNhnR29uVdmi-s84sszQHANfPeE/s1600-h/blackeyed+pea+2.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7qWAQzuwD7CsPBk5PCBZYh9OZmI92iPKsm4DHHMVwk3E68rREv19HMwLJ0k3PiMOVE8OAexitkKT1h4jV7jHpbnYbxqBWlMMFBMtRZpvNCTtjd3WNFNhnR29uVdmi-s84sszQHANfPeE/s320/blackeyed+pea+2.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423821590140848882" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXKYbqstA5JnzLQOMg7W0kfe8XUvmghVnV0hrgNNexIwY0WKHdE8CE_wB1qwjUmDtFM6Shm23xLfimugqAWgRDvJh93_KPKUA3gm8PMTNz5p9IS39gWsrhqYcczZmwwh9uNzc4obYhDg0/s1600-h/blackeyed+pea+1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXKYbqstA5JnzLQOMg7W0kfe8XUvmghVnV0hrgNNexIwY0WKHdE8CE_wB1qwjUmDtFM6Shm23xLfimugqAWgRDvJh93_KPKUA3gm8PMTNz5p9IS39gWsrhqYcczZmwwh9uNzc4obYhDg0/s320/blackeyed+pea+1.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423821575545635138" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglVsa4NZYTKNMCurzn311lInkPL42LZ1ZA3BEucyT8qrLICHDxex2P52wkLvgEUb55ziqj632hFuLV4zwH69mAzRQh_uZgGJhEVmL9W_FQfXjnMCv9IHPNTn8KYxHb95LuMSUZjG2xA8g/s1600-h/blackeyed+pea.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglVsa4NZYTKNMCurzn311lInkPL42LZ1ZA3BEucyT8qrLICHDxex2P52wkLvgEUb55ziqj632hFuLV4zwH69mAzRQh_uZgGJhEVmL9W_FQfXjnMCv9IHPNTn8KYxHb95LuMSUZjG2xA8g/s320/blackeyed+pea.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423821567790716834" /></a>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-36598196265672592002010-01-05T19:05:00.001-08:002010-01-05T19:07:44.334-08:00Thanks Nana, the hats fit great!!!<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span></span></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh28v_90mVy7Ugd1CllpFW3R7IDokeoyWpNEiL0j9i2h30xu6eULbzAAKvZ41UL-DXK_LJkzrWEvqj25bXaPs2MA-Liylh8g2OWTbH1wCStF5oAQP9c4gA6wc5y8-6ONqFXnMa9QjyH8n4/s1600-h/NanaHats.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh28v_90mVy7Ugd1CllpFW3R7IDokeoyWpNEiL0j9i2h30xu6eULbzAAKvZ41UL-DXK_LJkzrWEvqj25bXaPs2MA-Liylh8g2OWTbH1wCStF5oAQP9c4gA6wc5y8-6ONqFXnMa9QjyH8n4/s320/NanaHats.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423457875783191586" /></a><br /><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZZ41yLUNlGQCTFgRmhQPiP4_VDi5wQ6vGr20_eko1cS1hY7fSueLn2gVi9-MBnH-IMyf3X4zptaa4NWG_qq9DelTytAKHZSngLLJwTQWkLj-1iyM0-1SD7mAzRl8owJioGmacnuhHQ38/s1600-h/NanaHats+1.JPG"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZZ41yLUNlGQCTFgRmhQPiP4_VDi5wQ6vGr20_eko1cS1hY7fSueLn2gVi9-MBnH-IMyf3X4zptaa4NWG_qq9DelTytAKHZSngLLJwTQWkLj-1iyM0-1SD7mAzRl8owJioGmacnuhHQ38/s320/NanaHats+1.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423458071255789202" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /></a></div>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287762151033229394.post-67450308318719009462010-01-05T18:18:00.000-08:002010-01-05T19:04:11.730-08:00OK White Christmas 2010<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000EE;"><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); ">Below are some pictures taken on Christmas Day. She develops projects in her mind and thinks through the process of how to make it happen. I usually play the part of mocking the idea and giving her a hard time about her crazy ideas. Almost always, she pulls it off turning me into the fool. The doghouse was no exception.<br />Why build a doghouse when you can buy one? Come on, there are people who build this type of thing for a living; they build, we buy. It's an orderly, working system. I have no idea why my wife cannot grasp this. The doghouse battle encompassed this difference of opinion between her and I. I decided to sacrifice the initial battle for the good of the war. So I found myself at Lowe's on Black Friday picking up a compressor, table saw, and miter saw. They were on an incredible sale, but still the total came to double what a good doghouse would cost (and I was sure in the end we'd be buying a doghouse anyway, resulting in a triumphal "I told you so" moment).<br />So, the next Saturday morning, using scrap wood that Janna begged off a construction worker at a construction site, Janna and I begin Project "In the Doghouse". There were robust disagreements, a few compromises and somewhere along the way I forgot that this wasn't supposed to be fun and fulfilling. AND....something went wrong because at the end of the day the finished product actually resembled a doghouse...and a good one at that! In actuality, it turned out better than any of the ones I saw for sale. So I have a nice doghouse and new tools as well.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1qNNvONOojXq7IAgJiaU3HHGS-wWh6c03Sd5Nf25LluhZhN4PB9hbCtjNmDjq951hC5y2hKrkMC3orW6mkfcWohGWCcVLBwEtczSzCkXoZ40X2vLjEbWTChepQG8DqEzDhVQa6NqnAvc/s1600-h/IMG00131.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1qNNvONOojXq7IAgJiaU3HHGS-wWh6c03Sd5Nf25LluhZhN4PB9hbCtjNmDjq951hC5y2hKrkMC3orW6mkfcWohGWCcVLBwEtczSzCkXoZ40X2vLjEbWTChepQG8DqEzDhVQa6NqnAvc/s320/IMG00131.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422241881677361218" /></a>ScottnJannahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01312945679327499977noreply@blogger.com2
